The student body of New College, representing undergraduates to the College and the University.
The Junior Common Room is both a room in College and the elected body that represents undergraduates at New College.
It negotiates with College on accommodation and academic policy, runs BOPs and the Garden Party, and handles the everyday business that students care about.
The JCR also manages a substantial budget, which goes to welfare, entertainment, clubs and societies, and the JCR rooms themselves.

The JCR is run by an elected committee of students, as set out in the Standing Orders, the authoritative regulations of the JCR Constitution. Every undergraduate is a member, and the JCR Meeting is the supreme governing body.

Tutorials are a few hours of the week. The rest of your time is spent in Hall, in the JCR and bar, on the river and with the people you live alongside. New College is a community as much as it is a college.

One or two students and a tutor, working through your subject together. It is the part of Oxford that has no real equivalent elsewhere.
Formal halls, BOPs and the JCR bar, in a college of about 400 undergraduates.
Drama, choir, law, LGBTQ+ and plenty more. College societies are one of the quickest ways to meet people outside your subject.
Peer supporters, welfare officers and a College nurse, all of whom you can approach in confidence.
